The weather finally reached a tolerable threshold to get out on the FJR. A run to the Blue Water Bridge in Port Huron has become my tradition first ride of the season. Off season maintenance this year was substantial – rear shock was sent out for service, forks were serviced, some electrical updates (heated grips) along with fluid changes, etc. This first ride of the year will confirm I got everything put back together correctly! Fortunately, it was a smooth 150 mile ride – no mechanical issues at all.
The temperature dropped as I approached Port Huron from the west – the air coming off the lake was brisk – temps dropped from over 40F to 29F at the bride!!
